Please join us in congratulating Charles (Bo) Sault on being SHLC’s May 2025 Learner of the Month.

Bo was nominated by Julie, an online educator here at Good Learning Anywhere. Here is a statement about Bo from Julie.

Bo has been enrolled in the Anishinaabe language courses since the fall of 2024. Although it has taken him quite a bit longer than the typical Moodle learner to complete a course and access and progress in a course, this is due to his hectic work schedule which sees him travel back and forth from his home community each week. Bo self identified as someone with lower digital skills but really wanted to take the online language courses as in person programming was no longer available. He is dedicated to improving his cultural knowledge and language and staying on the “red road”.

As soon as a reminder email is sent, he is always prompt to respond and get back to accessing and completing some activities. This award should light a fire under him and help urge him on to completing his second GLA course, Anishinaabe in the Workplace course.

We decided to ask Bo some questions so we could share more about their story with you.

How did you first hear about our program?
