"Living" Traditions: Connecting Indigenous Values, Food, and Culture
Food plays a vital role in our lives and in our cultures. In this course, you will be introduced to Indigenous peoples as hunters and gatherers of foods such as fish, deer, moose, geese, and grouse as well as plants such as berries, corn, beans, and squash. We will explore the connection of traditional Indigenous foods to the holistic view of food and Indigenous values including food sovereignty.
