Finding your style is like putting puzzle pieces together.
– Lara Spencer
Every person that registers with Good Learning Anywhere (GLA) is assigned a mentor. Being a mentor means being many things – teacher, coach, friend and even cheerleader. In the beginning, being a mentor to Jessica W. meant becoming good at puzzles. There was a lot of trial and error as Jessica and her mentor, Linda HR, worked together to find the right path for Jessica.
The first piece was to identify some clear lines of communication between Jessica and her mentor. With this in place, they then began trying different GLA courses and switching the course if the piece was not the right fit for her and her learning style. Eventually, Jessica did find the subjects that interested her and she has now been successful in many courses. As soon as she completes one course, she emails her mentor asking to enrol in the next one. She is such a hard worker. Jessica has worked on her courses every day since she came back to Good Learning Anywhere in March 2020. She is a very deserving recipient of the June Learner of the Month.
