Cary was nominated by Julie, an online educator here at Good Learning Anywhere. Here is a statement about Cary from Julie.
This is Cary’s second registration with GLA. Her first registration was in September and she did not stay in the program for very long before being exited as she hadn’t yet received a loaner laptop. At that time she had indicated struggling with onsite support due to previous personal interactions so her best option was to work from home. In her second registration with us (November to present) Cary has completed the Digital Skills courses, is currently halfway through Office Administration and has elected to help pilot the Employment Success course. She is great with her course access and responds quickly to messages when required. I think Cary is a great nominee for January Learner of the Month.
We decided to ask Cary some questions so we could share more about their story with you.
How did you first hear about online learning with Good Learning Anywhere?

Did you have any struggles during your learning? If so, how did you overcome them?
Yes. If I had an struggles I would go back and redo what it was I was having a hard time with. If that didn’t work for me I would research it or reach out to the teachers.
What advice do you have for someone thinking about starting to improve their skills?
If you’re ever on the fence about improving your skills, just do it! You will never regret improving.
What is your greatest achievement? Or what accomplishment are you most proud of?
My greatest achievement was being able to complete all the courses. Very proud of myself.
What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to never stop learning. And to work full time.

I was very surprised winning this award. Thank you so much.
