There are no minimum admission requirements.
This training certificate program is a work preparedness program for those who lack a grade 12 diploma. This program is designed to prepare students to successfully write the Test of Workplace Essential Skills (TOWES) test. The purpose of the test is not to pass or fail; instead, it is to find your level of proficiency in applying Essential Skills needed in the mining workplace.
A successful TOWES score shows employers that you have workplace Essential Skills. TOWES can help you qualify for and access other employment and training programs and you may find entry level employment in the mining industry. This 8-week program is delivered 100% online using a combination of instructor-led classes and independent learning.
