Partnership

The BAWL online program is a partnership between the Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA) and Sioux Hudson Literacy Council’s (SHLC) online distance learning program: Good Learning Anywhere (GLA).

Program Details

Join ONWA for our Friday Online Training! Access training from our Building Aboriginal Women’s Leadership Program from anywhere in your community. All you need to participate is a computer with an Internet connection and a headset with a microphone.  This course can be taken from home, a community learning centre or from your local Contact North Learning Centre. Topics to include:

  • Leadership
  • Assertiveness Training
  • Board Roles & Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning
  • Lateral Violence

Admission Requirements:

There are no admission requirements. Learners attending these sessions ideally have an interest in working with tribal or band councils, management boards and boards of directors of Aboriginal organizations.

Sessions will take place online using the Saba online learning system. Login instructions will be emailed to participants 24 hours before the program starts.
